Dumfries and Galloway

 

"Dumfries and Galloway Sports Councils" 50% subsidy available for members for all levels of qualification.

Independent Learning Accounts (ILA)

ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme that helps you pay for learning that you can do at a time, place, pace and in a way to suit you.  It’s for people who have an income of £22,000 a year or less, or who are on benefits.

If you are 16 or over and living in Scotland, you could get up to £500 towards the cost of learning with a learner account from ILA Scotland.

2014 Communities Funding

 

 

 

2014 communities has had an extra injection of cash £500,000 which will allow us to make an additional 250 awards up to April 2013.  The maximum award is £2k and the programme outcomes that must be met are:

 

  • More people take part in sport or physical activity
  • More people volunteer in sport or physical activity
  • More people and communities are brought together through taking part or volunteering in sport or physical activity

 

The priorities are:

  • Getting more women and girls to take part in sport or physical activity
  • Getting more disabled people to take part in sport or physical activity
  • Getting more older people (over 50) to take part in sport or physical activity
  • Getting more younger people (under 25) to take part in sport or physical activity
  • Getting more people from black and minority ethnic communities to take part in sport or physical activity

UKCC Coach Education Funding

sportscotland recognises the importance of new coaches coming into sport and the need for accessible, affordable coaching courses to be available to them. 2011 sees the roll out a new UKCC funding model to support the recruitment of new coaches. To find out more click here:
